Renovation

This first floor home remodel turned a 1970s Madison-area home into thoughtfully updated space for a retired couple relocating closer to family. Working within the existing footprint, the renovation reimagined the layout to create a more open, connected first floor, and elevated finishes throughout.

In the great room, a coffered ceiling and modern wood feature wall replaces outdated paneling and ceiling beams, and granite replaces the original brick on the fireplace. An existing closet now houses a hidden wine fridge, and a redesigned dry bar features custom built-ins and sleek finishes.

Nordic White cabinetry transformed the kitchen and dining room, where Brio removed built-ins and part of the living room wall to open the space.

Brio closed the original master bathroom entrance to create a first-floor laundry room and converted a nearby office and coat closet into a spacious new primary bath with a private water closet. The team also updated closet systems in the guest bedrooms and refreshed the guest bath.
