PRAIRIE STYLE HOMES

Wisconsin’s own Frank Lloyd Wright developed early examples of this style and today, his name is almost synonymous with this school of architecture and design. The Prairie Style uses strong horizontal lines to integrate into and fit in with the level prairie landscapes that inspired it. Accentuating that is the dependence on natural materials, especially stone and wood.

Prairie Style homes have very open floor plans and free-flowing spaces. Combined with ribbons of windows, the lines between indoor and outdoor spaces sometimes blur.

To further blend in with the surroundings, low-pitched hipped or flat roofs extend with broad overhanging eaves. Porches or eaves are supported by strong, square columns.

“Your workers (including your office personnel) always made us feel ‘like family,’ as opposed to a customer. We truly believe we could not have gotten better service from anyone else. We expected top notch service and everyone on your staff delivered.”
