After two remodels together, this family trusted Belleville home builder Brio Design Homes with a third project: a new, “forever” home.

A private front porch seating area is framed by mid-century modern-inspired breeze blocks and has an open-air skylight. The custom front door is crafted from reclaimed trees harvested directly from the property.

A transom window shapes the foyer and draws the eye to continuous beams that stretch from the front of the house to the back, tying the design together from the moment you step inside. A slat-wood partition wall with a built-in bench is just past the entry, setting it apart from the dining room without closing the space off entirely.

In the kitchen, Sierra-painted cabinetry pairs with Rondo quartz countertops for a clean, cohesive palette, while a playful bird motif on the backsplash adds personality and charm.

But Brio’s design is most striking in the great room. A vaulted ceiling with vertical tongue-and-groove detailing meets a window wall that floods the space with natural light. Wood cladding and wrapped beams bring even more warmth. A floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace is the centerpiece, flanked by built-in cabinetry, a dedicated wood store and a mantel crafted from hackberry and walnut.
